Supervision

About Supervision

I offer online clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals working in support roles, in line with the BACP’s Ethical Framework.

As a supervisor I work in an integrative way, drawing upon humanistic, psychodynamic, narrative and cognitive approaches to collaboratively reflect on your client work with you. I seek to build a relationship in which you feel supported, and where you are able to openly explore and gain clarity and insight into your relationships to your work and with your clients.

I work within a range of supervision models, such as the Queer seven-eyed model of supervision, Hawkins’ seven-eyed model of supervision, and Inskipp & Proctor’s supervision framework.

In supervision sessions, I aim to make space for reflection on all aspects of your work. This might include exploring the client’s process and the therapeutic relationship, your process as a practitioner, the wider context of the client and your therapeutic work, and our own relationship. I see supervision as a space to provide you with support, reflection and development as we explore the challenges of your work, as well as celebrating the flourishing that we witness in our client’s lives.

I primarily work with counsellors who support adult clients, or older young people (age 14+).

Experience & Training

I have experience of working as a supervisor supporting individual counsellors within both private practice and within organisations.  I have also provided clinical supervision to groups of trainee and qualified counsellors, and other frontline staff including youth and sexual health workers within an organisational setting.

I have worked as the Counselling Services Manager for METRO Charity, an equality and diversity organisation, with a focus on running services for people who identify as LGBTQ+, people living with or affected by HIV, and family counselling.  I have also provided consultancy for other organisations, with a focus on safeguarding and community wellbeing, and supporting people in crisis.

I am a qualified secondary education teacher.
